Platform Paperless Transport

As a supplement to the port community platform, Cofano has created a specific platform that enables paperless transportation of goods that are under customs control. The advantage of this platform is that the parties that transport goods that haven't been cleared yet or that need a follow up arrangement, can still be transported.

The RTO legislation allows this process within Europe. Through Cofano's platform, the total lead time between RTO's is optimized and the interocntinental transport from and to the hinterland is no longer hindered through all that 'paperwork'. In this platform, a standard data exchange is established between terminals, customs control, a port community system and eventually and inland termindal (if this terminal has an RTO license). A basic condition for this platform is that the customs control, logistic service providers and the various terminal want to cooperate.
